Health and Safety at ISG OLSON

In order to ensure safe execution of the works we strictly follow the requirements of Russian legislation and OHSAS 18001:1999 standard.

Our employees at construction sites are provided with:
- safety trainings every quarter (Russian legislation requires once per two quarters)
- protective clothing and protective boots

All our and sub-contractor’s employees are provided with safety and first aid briefings at least every quarter.

Safety Engineer can stop any works if precarious situation occur.

All accidents are registered and analyzed. The results of analysis are used for performin of corrective and cautionary actions.

We also are responsible for visitors of our construction sites. Every visitor is provided with safety briefing and security equipment.

Total of Lost Work Day Cases due to accidents reduced significantly from 47 (in 2004) to 22 (in 2005) and 2 (in 2006) while the amount of construction works remained at similar level.

We connect this improvement with implementation of Integrated Management System (IMS) in 2004.
